Science fiction has long given us amazing technology from ray guns to exoskeletons to combat drones.
With all of the technology that’s available today, it isn’t taking science long to catch up to science fiction.

Burke Pulser – The Burke Pulser is a weapon that resembles an M4 rifle, but it fires directed energy instead of lead. A small shield protects the soldier from hazardous electronic pulses which are designed to interfere with enemy battlefield electronics.

Hazards such as Bluetooth enabled IEDs, consumer drones, modified to be a threat and other hazardous equipment can be

EXACTO Ammunition – Energy weapons aren’t the only ones being developed for the military. DARPA is developing the Extreme Accuracy Tasked Ordinance (EXACTO), which is a bullet that can steer itself to its target. The bullet adjusts its course while in flight. countered by the pulser. Tests are under way and are said to be very promising.

The EXACTO system is designed for engagements at longer range, where weather conditions can affect the trajectory of a bullet from a sniper’s rifle.

MAXFAS Exoskeleton – To go along with smarter ammunition, the U.S. Army is developing an exoskeleton system to stabilize the firing arm of a soldier. The Mobile Arm Exoskeleton for Firearm Aim Stabilization (MAXFAS) will actively sense and cancel out an arm’s trembling while still keeping it free to point at multiple targets.

The whole unit weighs 10 ounces and uses gyroscopes and accelerometers to measure the shaking which is then cancelled by six small cables. Current tests show that shooting accuracy has improved by 27% when using MAXFAS.

CHAMP Missile – The Counter-electronics High-powered Microwave Advanced Missile Project (CHAMP) takes the concept of electro-magnetic pulse weapons, and mounts it on a cruise missile. An EMP weapon is used to incapacitate electronic systems and would previously have been accomplished through a high-altitude nuclear explosion.

Now, a cruise missile can emit an EMP that can target an individual building, rather than an entire nation. The EMP is also capable of being fired multiple times which will allow it to strike multiple targets in a single flight, eliminating electronics while not causing any ground casualties.

Whether it’s exoskeletons, cruise missiles or smart ammunition, China Complex Parts is ready to help.
